The 18th SUN RIVER PRIZE Students’ New Music Composition Competition Result

The 18th SUN RIVER PRIZE Students’ New Music Composition Competition has received a total of 102 entries from 13 countries: China, USA, France, Japan, Canada, Italy, Finland, Greece, Australia, Turkey, Israel, Czech Republic and Slovenia. Among the entries, There were 11 entries violated the regulation of the competition, therefor, 91 works entered the selection process. The preliminary evaluation of the works started on October 1^st. After careful selection by the seven jury members: Qin Wenchen (Chairman of Jury) (China), Glenda Keam (New Zealand), Johannes Schöllhorns (Germany), Jia Guoping (China), Zhou Xianglin (China), Yang Xiaozhong (China) and Guo Yuan (China), eight works were selected as finalists. The final concert (online) was held on November 5^th at 14:00 pm at Chengdu City Concert Hall, featuring the Beijing Contemporary Soloists. The results of the competition were confirmed by the chairman of jury, Qin Wenchen, and announced at the online conference held at 16:30 on November 5^th. Here we presents the winner list:
